Paul Serusier (1864-1927) is an important painter of the French history who was a pioneer of abstract art. His style was the Post-Impressionism. Thanks to his parents' support, Paul Serusier had a good education, after He graduated in 1883 started to work for some time until finally, he entered the Julian Academy to study art. During this epoch, Paul Serusier created several oil paintings. He met to Paul Gauguin when travelled to the French city of Pont-Aven, even Serusier worked under Gauguin's supervision where paint The Talisman.
